The Crossover - Neil "Genesis LXG" Edwards Documentary
"The Crossover" centers on the life of former LA Clippers, Neil Edwards, as he simultaneously fights to reinstate his former athletic glory and sign a music recording contract. Although he was an exceptional player, Edwards made a bold choice to leave the league a few years ago; now he is back with a roaring vengeance. In this series, Neil, an equally talented basketball player and rapper finds that at times it is very difficult to break into the Sports and Entertainment field. However, he is ready to take his dreams to the next level by attempting something that has never been done before. This thirty-minute, reality-based series will follow Neil as he strives towards a double career in Basketball and Hip Hop. Neil has his eyes set on contracts with the Nets and RocNation. Both are partially owned by Brooklyn-native Jay Z, one of Neil's idols. Neil will attempt to secure tryout sessions with the Nets as well as land meetings with the A&R staff of RocNation. Viewers at home will see Neil balance family life, Basketball, and Music. The Television audience will have front row seating for the ride of a lifetime as Neil embarks on this career driven journey. But be warned, the ride could get bumpy!

"Festive season music" ranges from unreleased exclusive music like "Everyday is christmas" that Blu sent us earlier this month to songs that will be released on Jakarta Records in 2013 like Ta-Ku's & Mr.Troys tracks. Most songs are yet unheard, some are exclusive to this selection. The actual cassette tape will be given away to friends and partners of the label, some will be given away for free on our facebook site (grap one at facebook.com/jakartarecords), some thru our firends at vinyl-digital. We printed a total of 130 numbered copies.

Yo I can't believe they got the whole movie on youtube. This movie is a fuckin Classic. I watched this shit over 100 times, I remember I even put my nephew and niece on to this shit and they watched it over and over. So many ill quotes of this movie and probably the greatest Hip-Hop movie soundtrack of all time. After seeing Q get down on his 1200's I knew what I wanted to do.

Stretch & Bobbito's 20th Anniversary
It was a sad, sad day for Hip-Hop when they took 89 tek 9 off the airwaves. Shout out and Thank You to Stretch and Bobbito for introducing us to fresh new Hip-Hop every week, I remember staying up until 4 in the morning recording their whole show on tape to make sure I wouldn't miss anything and shout out to Sucio Smash for keeping the movement going after they left. They are the main inspiration for this DelCity Radio shit, we bring you music that you probably would never hear on the Corporately owned Radio Stations. Hip-Hop Ain't Dead Yet!!!
